That play SHOULD always be offside, IMO, however in our players and PRO preseason meeting, that exact situation was described to us as NOT OFFSIDE. Difficult to play a game when we don’t know how rules will be enforced.
All this said, ATL fans have a fair gripe on the disallowed goal. Sure looked like Medranda meant to play it, but Geiger ruled that he didn’t. Not a fan of the rule to be honest. No one should ever benefit from being in an offside position.
