@gilbeato @PDCOMM_trial That's lovely Gillian, thank you. Sylvia, @MarianBrady and I really enjoyed working with you to support all the Scottish teams. So much coordination work went into delivering the trial locally from PIs, therapists, research nurses and patients/families

"The challenges posed by Sackley and colleagues' trial include how to ensure that resource limited health systems can implement effective evidence based innovation, and how patient groups can best advocate for this with health system decision makers" Excellent editorial!
New trial shows that an intensive course of LSVT LOUD is the most effective speech therapy for people with Parkinson’s disease. Read the linked Editorial to find out more about the new research:

The @PDCOMM_trial results published today. Many thanks to all 388 participants and the 42 recruiting centres who took part in what was a huge logistical effort and important contribution to the conversation about speech and language therapy for people with Parkinson's
NEW research found that an intensive voice treatment developed in the USA and known as the Lee Silverman voice treatment (LSVT LOUD) is more effective than conventional NHS speech and language therapy or no therapy for people with Parkinson’s disease
