I'm beginning to learn that, when it comes to creating, I have a concept of "perfect" in my head that is fundamentally unobtainable.
I'm beginning to learn to stop chasing that ideal and just finish more stuff, improving my craft as I go.

Working on mixing a recording of my own and I was getting a bit frustrated with the sound... Made a copy of the project, removed a bunch of plugins and just kept the EQ. Sounded way better.
I think there's a lesson there somewhere. ๐

As someone who spends weeks or months tweaking mixes and creating numerous versions of tracks... I'm always amazed to see people doing live sound.

I'm no genius but putting this mobile standing desk next to my mic so I can track vocals and do DAW stuff without having to move around was a pretty smart move. IMHO. ๐ง

As someone who often mixes and masters my own creations, I find
@iZotopeInc
Ozone pretty handy. I very rarely use its "assistant" for actual mastering, but rather use it as a guide to which part of my mix sucks so I can go back and fix it. ๐ง
