1/6 What are we doing?.We want to enable anyone to be able to transact in native #Bitcoin (on-chain and #lightning) directly to/from their #Solana wallets. You no longer need to distinguish between Solana and Bitcoin addresses, your Solana wallet will just natively support both.

6/6 What are we not?.We are not creating a new wrapped bitcoin token on Solana, as that would require overcollateralization and be exposed to oracle and exchange rate risks (which we deem insecure). We are just a cross-chain DEX between any existing SPL token (usdc,wbtc) and BTC.

Zeus network (more specifically Apollo by Zeus) is wrapping BTC with economic security assumption, i.e. permissionless.

We were not affected by this exploit, because we were and still are using an older version of the library on our webapp. Either way this couldn't have affected users of our webapp because your key is safely stored in your solana wallet and webapp never has access to it.
anyone using @solana/web3.js, versions 1.95.6 and 1.95.7 are compromised with a secret stealer leaking private keys. if you or your product are using these versions, upgrade to 1.95.8 (1.95.5 is unaffected). if you run a service that can blacklist addresses, do your thing with.

@zen_llama @sull @TO Glad you asked, yes this would certainly be possible with the tech that we use (bitcoin SPV on solana), you could verify and index every ordinal transaction in a smart contract on Solana. However this would require users to always submit 2 transactions, first to btc and then sol.
