'In Brunel's Tunnel' From Wapping station, on the London Overground, you can see trains approaching through the Thames Tunnel. Their lights pick out the shapes of the 1843-opened tunnel. 10.1.23 Canon EOS 70D/ 18-135mm lens #appicoftheweek

@RHummBooks @ReelStreets The young lad goes on the run after shooting a tearaway who'd tried been tormenting him and then tried to rob him at knifepoint. Some of these Gideon's Way stories are very bleak, but so well made.

@Autistic_Lauren I was born in '73, so going through school was torture. Didn't know anything about Autism apart from Rain Man until early 2000s, before that I just thought I was stupid. (Still do).

@Autistic_Lauren Yes, I never know where I stand with people. When I make a new friend, I can become obsessed with them. I know I'm doing it, and it upsets my wife, but somehow I can't stop. I try to avoid forming close friendships at all if I can now.

From the opening scenes [often cut] of the 1950 British thriller, 'The Clouded Yellow'. Trevor Howard's character, Maj. Somers, arrives back in England aboard a BOAC Avro Lancastrian aeroplane, which were re-purposed Avro Lancaster bombers. @ReelStreets

@MrTimDunn @TowerBridge That, my good Sir, is a superb photo of Tower Bridge and the Thames.

@Autistic_Lauren I loathe it. From the stress it causes through constant demand for false cheer, to the disruption of my normal routine. I'm hopeless at thinking of gift ideas. It puts pressure on people to buy things they can't afford.

George Cole, as Tommy Bishop, considers his next move with the unmistakeable towers of Cannon Street station in the background. From the 1964 'Gideon's Way' episode, 'The Firebug'.

Watching a few episodes of the 1960s ITC 'Gideon's Way', starring John Gregson. Some of the episodes are very grim, as Police work is. The 1964 episode 'Big Fish Little Fish' is particulary so. @RodneyMarshall1

@JoeBrownLondon I've been here since 2012. It would be quite a lot to bin, even allowing for the gibber spouted by the owner. Everywhere from Facebook to the new rival social media platforms is full of hatred. The World is full of hatred. People don't have to be taken in or participate in it.

A screenshot from the 1966 episode of 'Gideon's Way' - 'Boy with a gun'. This looks to me like the M1, looking towards the former M10 junction, the M1 looks to be closed beyond J7, possibly in connection with work on the London Extension.

@RHummBooks @C20Society @lordbonkers @DiscoverLeices I would have thought so. I had one, which I thought was great. It had red moulded frames, into which the rubber type was inserted. It wasn't new when I had it, and my mother would replenish the ink from Barclays Bank in Raunds, where she cleaned in the afternoon.

@RHummBooks @C20Society @lordbonkers @DiscoverLeices They originally started production in 1906, though I'm not sure if that was on the same site. A friend has pointed out that the entrance gateway is off centre, so maybe it was expanded several times.

@JoeBrownLondon @TfL No doubt Printz Holman has explored it when he spent many nights in dark corners of the CSLR in 1990.
