if I’m not mistaken today is your last day as an AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER!! The horrible schedules, stress and having to be 100 percent on point each and every shift is not for the weak. The fulfillment of controlling flights and saving lives outweighs the latter.

The unofficial O’Hare - Lake Michigan climb record was broken today by a GLF5. It crossed the eastern lakeshore, having departed eastbound from ORD at FL414 and still climbing.
It cleared 41,000’ in 65nm.

One of the best airport threads in years, if ever. And to top it all off, I’m fairly certain I worked this flight as its only Chicago Center controller until I handed it off to Cleveland.
I missed my connecting flight so I have to stay overnight at O'Hare and let me tell you guys being practically alone in an airport is fucking AMMAAAZZZIIIIINNNNGGG.
