Flew my last flight as Captain on the Embraer this afternoon and couldn’t have had a better “crew” with me.
Excited to see what this new chapter has in store!
On Friday I passed my ERJ-170/190 checkride part of my Captain upgrade training, something that I've worked towards for the last few months. Right now I should be excited about flying a new plane, learning the responsibilities of the new seat, and looking forward to what's ahead.

Excited to join the Friendly Skies as an LAX-based 737 First Officer with my childhood dream airline, United.
Thank you to all who've helped me achieve this dream. 🛫
BREAKING: The Centers for Disease Control recommended that Americans cancel or postpone gatherings of 50 or more people for the next eight weeks.
It's the most aggressive federal guidance issued yet in response to the coronavirus outbreak
I forgot to tweet this yesterday, but LOL to the pilot who did his entire welcome aboard PA on ORD Tower (120.75, 22L/28C). One of the funniest things I've heard in a while.
The airline pilots rebelling against a vaccine mandate on the grounds of, "my body, my choice" seem to forget they can't have beards or long hair. 🤷🏻♂️
I’m certain that there’s a direct relationship between the amount of trouble an airline website/app gives when booking a flight and how good a deal the fare is.
The 757 really is an amazing machine. Took off out of KEF this morning with a relatively light load. Climbed to our cruising altitude of 38,000 ft. In 17 minutes climbing out at 310kts/ Mach .80 (was granted a high-speed climb) made for an average of 2200fpm.
Chicago’s O’Hare iconic “Penalty Box” is no more. The April 20th Chart Update shows it gone along with many other taxiways as the airport gets transformed for the new terminal.
Somewhere over Iowa or Illinois early this morning hit a pretty big milestone, 1,000 hours of Captain time. It's been fun so far, here's to a few more hours! 👨🏻✈️🛫✈️
I’d like to announce that I’m running for Mayor of Chicago. Deep dish piazza for all, going to outlaw ketchup, re open Meigs Field, adding 12 runways to O’hare, change the spelling of “The” to “Da”, and finally going to push for Casimir Pulaski day to be a national holiday.
Me: IN uniform, standing in front of the FD door thanking everyone for their patience today as they deplane.
Random Pax: "you're not the pilot, are you?"
Me to me: 🤔🤔🤔
