Glad to have @annawmenon back on planet earth with the rest of the @polarisprogram crew. Even put on our lucky Compton shirts with @haleykesparza which was the same shirt we wore on Demo-2, Crew-1, Crew-2, and Crew-3. We pulled it out for Polaris after the slips and, for the first time, on launch day. It’s never going back in the closet. Taking a big breath of relief now. The whole team deserves one.

Last call before @polarisprogram returns from space. @annawmenon called via FaceTime on @spacex Starlink. The whole family was poised to surprise her. She was shocked to see everyone dressed up in space costumes (minus princess Elsa who was just going to be a princess no matter what). We were determined to match her glamorous hair, so we found our own. Here are some of our questions to space: “who cut your hair?” “How do you get it to stay so perfect” “what can we do to keep it going on earth.” It was a heartwarming moment to provide support for our loved one who will be returning Sunday 3:36am at Tortuga and flown back to KSC. The man in the mirror is Navy Test Pilot @astro_hathaway who I suited up today during our suit training class. It’s just a training mirror, the ones in space are clear and critical to reading controls on the suit (located at the chest) because it’s difficult to look around.

NASA Astro Class 23 The fly shape represents our class, “the flies”. Twelve stars represent the candidates of class 23 and the UAE and US flags are both displayed. And of course the astronaut pose represents our faith in NASA’s return to the moon while keeping an eye on Mars!

NASA’s Chief Exploration Scientist couldn’t have said it better! The geology of the moon, the impact craters, the rocks, minerals, and meteorites contain a story. We have already learned so much from that story which takes us back 4.5 billions years.

My inspiration just got bigger with James Webb! I love this photo of the Carina Nebula. I’ve always been inspired by the stars and they remind me of how much we have to explore. I hope these photos also inspire the future explorers! #nasa #nasawebb @nasa_astronauts
