I wanted to pursue organic chem once and I couldn't stand the idea of spending my adult life in a lab and now thinking about the associated risks I felt I was fortunate choosing a more 'safer' career route.

Ofc - minimum wage hike should go hand in hand with upskilling and identifying labor-intensive industries to focus skilled manpower at. As much as layoffs are a reality, we can't afford to allow employers to capitalize on cheap and stagnant wages.

She has a point. Just because you duduk KL and have easy access to these subsidized resources - doesn't mean ALL Malaysians have it the same way as you do. At the same time, we are leeching off our healthcare staff and overloading the system to achieve affordable healthcare.
