WTF is this headline? I feel like I’m losing my mind. This is not that hard! How about: “Trump backs out of scheduled ABC debate, strikes FOX News side deal without Harris campaign’s input” Anything else - incl. this mealymouthed both-sides BS - is journalistic malpractice.

Not to be coconutpilled on main, but arguing that VP Harris can't win because her 2020 campaign failed is silly. How many failed presidential campaigns did Biden have before he finally met the right moment and eked out a win? 3? 27?!? If the time is right, it's right!

So isn't it possible that the political press (for all its many flaws) is hammering this story not just bc reporters are mean & "smell blood," but bc the hope of turning the page on the last few miserable election cycles is worth treating this moment like the 5-alarm fire it is?
