Late afternoon action at Catcott, M. Harrier puts up ducks,Peregrine arrives knocks a Teal? down. Dispute between Harrier and Peregrine, meanwhile a Buzzard arrives from nowhere and carries off the Teal. Rubbish photos but an interesting outcome.

An American at Catcott this Sunday afternoon but unfortunately not an American Bittern! First decent picture I've managed of it since it turned up here way back on 17 Nov. last YEAR!

Damp p.m. at Catcott this afternoon , enlivened by a Buzzard V. Peregrine conflict! Peregrine made a kill but was driven off by Crows and the Buzzard before it had it's fill, came back to make it's claim, ended after 5 mins, Peregrine retiring tired. Too far away for my RX4 !

@AlastairSteven7 Thanks for the information Alistair. My daughter found and photographed it. Inside a disused brickbuilt forge building. I was surprised she managed to stop and take a photo, she is quite scared of them! I presume it's a Black lace weaver?

Decided its a Curlew after taking advice, it's bill downcurves right from its base . A Whimbrel' s bill sets off in a straight line before it curves down, and no stripe through the eye, also points to Curlew @ashman_alan

Curlew is suggested by @SmalePerry Looking again at the bill it downcurves straigh away from the base, whereas a Whimbrel has a straight start before downcurving . I think you are right Perry

A sight I would never have expected . At Catcott this afternoon. A Leucistic? Marsh Harrier probably Female by size?. I believe this bird was seen at Slimbridge about a week ago.
