This is a win for reproductive rights—but abortion is still banned in Texas with no exceptions.
On city council, I will continue the city's efforts to protect abortion access for Austinites.
Breaking: Mifepristone, a common abortion inducing medication, will remain on the market without additional restrictions after the U.S. Supreme Court unanimously rejected an anti-abortion group’s challenge to the drug’s approval.

Passing our Bags of Love bill was a bright spot in a difficult 88th session--so thankful we got to commemorate this legislation with a bag drive full of community support. This is only the beginning--kids in foster care deserve dignity, safety and happiness!
