this is one of the major reasons to criticize the concept of fashion...
3. Women are also used to feeling slightly constrained in their clothes. So if they feel the armhole right at their armpit, they don't complain. But if a man feels the armhole right at the armpit, they won't buy. Thus, manufacturers make big armholes for men.

@iwelsh the intention (of capping overhead/indirect costs) is actually noble, the implementation (of freezing and drastically reducing them without adjustment time for the entire model) absolutely boneheaded. "move fast and break society"

this "take it or leave it" attitude is why they keep failing and is just a way to set up for never changing their approach ever amen
Some of y'all spent months demanding Biden "step aside." Then, some of y'all spent several months making up excuses for why you couldn't vote for the Black woman. But now y'all are begging Democrats "to do something." Y'all had all the answers in 2024; y'all do something.

I sort of agree with this and that's why I stay here, but at the same time, the conservatives who complain that non-conservatives never want to engage with them can be mighty touchy when you actually try to engage with them...
A lot of the best Twitter accounts have moved to the other site. The ones I’m closest with left recently, a bit reluctantly, bc with so many of *their* friends gone, this place bores them. As individuals their decisions make sense. I can’t blame them. Collectively, though, the smart liberals who left made a lame decision. I can be a real b’tch about it when they DM to say goodbye. But mainly I’m sad.

As currently practiced, and at current scales, DL produces a language-generating engine of excellent quality that fails precisely because it cannot inhabit and enact personae in the way that humans inhabit and enact personae.
Deep learning (DL) had a good run, time to pack up folks, nothing to see here any more. Release after release keeps showing that 1) "hallucinations" are not going away 2) products with very limited usability 3) too much verbose outputs riddled with error after error.
