Sad news, these pavilions don't tend to survive. Little known fact, Ireland had a pavilion at the 1938 Empire Exhibition designed by Jones & Kelly
I'm appalled that the B-listed Africa House in Ardeer, one of the last surviving buildings of Glasgow's 1938 Empire Exhibition, has just been illegally demolished. No listed building consent. The owner has likely committed a criminal offence. They should be forced to rebuild it.

and with a L-shaped plan, it had a small courtyard overlooked by floor to ceiling glazing - I loved it. No classic of 60s Irish architecture now, I suspect the original budget for building was low, but a special place in my memory. #monaghan
