The OGL 1.2 still contains all the dealbreakers. It now also contains the word “irrevocable,” as promised, but with a redefinition that makes the license revocable all the same.

Folks are asking me if Shadowdark RPG was based on 5E, and it actually was not! It was based on B/X.
It's harder to convert it to 5E compatibility for that reason, but very easy to convert it to B/X compatibility for that reason. 🤘

I couldn’t afford a layout person, so I did a $15 Udemy InDesing course one weekend and learned 95% of what I needed to know to do the layout myself! I asked my friends for a few other tips and that was it. It’s mostly about not stopping when you hit a barrier.

I totally get this sentiment, but I’m also a solo creator who wrote most of Shadowdark while living in my parents’ guest room for two years during the pandemic. 😅 I could only afford to commission art in small batches at a time over the course of three years.
