Women pilots and non-pilot aviators (ATC, aircraft mechanic, dispatcher, ground instructor, parachute rigger, flight attendants, among others) used not to be called airmen in the 1960s. I doubt Gen Z women would accept to be called men, either. But, for now, the President of the U.S. wishes them to be airmen. Funny how men got into the profession of air hostess, the name did not stay the same. But, that’s probably not in the realm of critical thinking and is considered poisonous woke virus syndrome or worse, feminism.
