If the 90s has taught us anything it’s that giving away chicken does not lead to self sufficiency for farmers.
The duty on whole chicken or chicken parts is 260%. Could a better plan be to reduce the duty to 50% and use the money collected to provide free chicken to small and back yard farmers to raise organic chickens and produce organic jerk chicken delicacies for export?
