Deactivated Instagram to focus on other things. It has really saved alot of time and energy and given me space to focus on other things. Now I can completely devote my entire time to Twitter.
A friend got married in another city over an year ago, and we haven't seen her since because her in-laws don't "allow her" to go to another city to meet friends. Ladies in 2023 WHY are we still asking for permission?
My mom made a WhatsApp group with me and my sister where she informs us when dad's going to be out of town for work, so we can accordingly make plans with friends to stay out late on those days. Dad has no clue.
@pinksheepstan
Same happened with me lmao. I had an ex who would send me pretty moon snaps and send me sweet paragraphs while I was asleep and kept me updated whenever he was busy. Turned out he was cheating on me the entire time😂
situationships are hell bc I went on ONE DATE w a close friend, & later he started ignoring me, would only give enough attention to keep me from moving on. 6m later I got a text saying he never felt the same & we shouldn't talk. Later found out he got a gf same week he blocked me
It was a tweet based on 2 of my besties who grew up with elder sisters. They're far more considerate and sensitive compared to rest of the friends.
I understand everyone has different experiences, didn't mean for it to get so controversial 😂
I hate being single and then I hear my friend's bf is mad because she fell asleep while on a call with him, and I'm glad I can sleep whenever I want for however long I want.
1. All the men in comments arguing that even they ask their parents out of respect need to understand that you are never declined without genuine reasons.
2. The woman in question needs to ask her in laws even to go to her own parents house.
contd. (1/n)
I really believe that if something is going well for you then keep it to yourself. Telling people will always always ruin the good things in your life. Evil eye is real 🧿
I'm not surprised that only MEN are arguing saying that even they ask for permission, that I have a privileged life (i don't even understand the premise of this argument). And only MEN have liked such tweets. Not a single woman agrees with y'all.
3. She isn't "allowed" to go anywhere without her husband (except her parents' place) because "humare yaha bahu ka akele jana pasand nahi hai"
4. "Why don't you go meet her?" Her in laws don't like 4 5 friends coming over to meet her plus no guy friends allowed. (3/3)
Even then she's rarely allowed to stay the night at her parents' house because it's in the same city. So her MIL want her to come back at night. In the morning she cooks breakfast & lunch & then goes to her parents' place, comes back home after dinner and cleans up after. (2/n)
@_acheetos
Are you seriously comparing using the washroom with going out to meet friends and family without having to ask for permission? The husband or in laws don't own the girl 😭
Who are they to give her permission?
ex manager gave work at 7.30 pm yest., called at 12.30 pm today asking "hogya kya?" (office starts 11.30 am)
When I said ki 1 din toh lagega bc current manager has given some work, he goes "kal sham ko dia tha ki aaj chahiye toh raat bhar ghar pe kyun nahi kia?" 😀
I love reels where grown indian guys are just cooking dal chawal roti sabzi and cleaning their own apartment and making it look all aesthetic like yes you'd make some girl so happy one day
men will lie and betray you for months and hide behind the pretence "I lied to protect you from being hurt"😭
Bhai tu mat bann itna considerate sach bol k maar daal please
@ReelReptile
It feels like after this movie 100s of crimes will be inspired from RK's character and atleast 1 will be reported from Delhi which will leave the entire nation horrified and speechless. (1/2)
I don't wanna see a happily ever after. I wanna see Bunny leave Naina for his Dilli wali gf because she is hotter. End the movie with Naina going back to being the chashmish and unable to move on from Bunny.
Waking up early is really difficult in the beginning but once you do it there's no going back. Like now if I don't wake up before 6.00 a.m. my entire life falls apart. I cannot eat on time to all my chores before work get anything done during the entire day.
NRI cousin returned to India to get married next month, his parents post videos of him eating, having woken up in the morning, etc. on family WhatsApp group. This is giving rich white stay at home moms who keep having kids for content.
The only realistic ending in YJHD was for Aditi who realised that she deserved better than Avi, and chose Taran. Maybe in a sequel Avi would realise the love he lost because he took Aditi for granted.
On one side, the guy who washes our car every morning was extremely happy for being able to buy a bike.
On the other side, my mama took his kids on a bike ride in the colony because they travel in a car so the kids wanted to have a "fun bike ride".
what if all of us create an anonymous instagram account and use threads with that? that way insta mutuals can't find us there and we don't have to work by Elon's new rules everyday
pehle mere tweets pe 7 likes bhi nahi aate the, fir maine bhartiya sanskriti mein hindustani mahilaon par hote atyachar ke baare mein tweet kia. 70 misogynist mard is treatment ko justify karne aagaye, itni reach mili ab 7000+ likes aagaye.
Says alot about the society we live in
"buy local support local businesses"
I went to buy a yoga mat and the shopkeeper started commenting on my body and telling me what I should and shouldn't do. Amazon would never have that audacity.
Kaam nahi hai toh bhi can't leave work early. Kaam zyada hai toh fir unpaid overtime karna padega. Weekend pe kaam hai toh office aa jao aur uski jagah week day mein off bhi nahi milega. Great office policy.
There's a reel about a man with a 27lpa package and how he can't find a wife because he wants "homemade food and someone who takes care of his parents".
Someone has commented "why do you want to get married? With your package you can hire a cook and a caretaker" -
