Hi
#Twitterhistorians
, this may be a long shot, but....
What good theoretical discussion of the notion of "commodity" vs. "object" or "artefact" would you recommend ?
A few remarks - 1 For 1600-1640, my data is similar (but more detailed) to what R. Blanes already published in his remarkable Valencia y el Maghreb
2 The meanings of a few products continue to elude me, but I hope the dataset will continue to grow with your suggestions !
We are very happy to invite you to our next event

Comment vit-on à l’étranger ? 🧐
@DrDanielleTW
YES ! ✨✨
I am organising a panel on circulations of practical knowledge in the Mediterranean and beyond - will touch on empire, material culture, and the gendered acquisition of expertise
