Ok for all those who don’t know about me enough, I fight every day with the system for a better quality of life in Pune Mumbai Delhi and largely India. In my experience of fighting for basic civic issues everyday I have found that we are heavily misgoverned. What is the degree you might ask.. About 50 lakh crore is what is spent annually by the central government and a similar amount is spent every year by the 30 states. That’s a 100 lakh crore every year & it simply means over 900 to 1000 lakh crores has been spent in the past decade. India has only 750 districts. 1 lakh crore spent on each district can make it into Sweden. India has only 63 cities with a million plus people living in each. A few lakh crores can fix world class infrastructure, airports and roads. Despite all this money spent. 78% of India’s sewage gets dumped into the rivers lakes and the sea. Untreated. Our garbage is just picked up from our doorstep and dumped at somebody else’s. Today over 3500 landfills overflow with about 140 crore tons of garbage. Our air is heavily polluted for over 250 days out of 365 as we are continuously consuming more and increasing urban areas. I could go on, India has no shortage of land, money or resources. What we definitely are short off is common sense and political will. We elect Chaiwalla’s Rickshawalla’s and expect the nation will fare better. It’s my misfortune and also yours that despite paying the humoungous taxes we do, we are left with this broken country to deal with every day of our lives. Next time you see a speech or a political forward or our politicians - look at this data again. & Think again. @DUdgaonkar

Check this moron, Over ground = no space cos the web cast by the metro isn’t allowing for concretisation. Buildings will soon replace our tree cover. So, underground it’s going to be. Soon a half of Pune will move under because temperatures will equal or exceed 50 degrees Celsius just like it is in Nagpur and Marathwada, I forget the CM comes from that desert province so that’s the best he can come up with in all probability… We are pretty much screwed…

The third rate Morons who rule over us, imports from the desert @Dev_Fadnavis and @nitin_gadkari et alle now want to visit tunnels upon the city. 7500 crores. For this money the best of the best planners in the world can be hired with the remit to build and deliver sponge cities. Totally sustainable, best in-class, beautifully rendered. Yet, The @OfficialPMRDA has been entrusted with the job, is it really their remit. Are they worth trusting - these third rate corrupt IAS bureaucrats who make a total loss with everything they touch. Pune has 15642 square kilometres. 9000 out of that is empty arid space. That can accommodate over 100 Chandigarhs. PMC limits are only 319 square kilometres. PCMC is another 200 square kilometres. They won’t plan or build or deliver even one planned development. Not one. In the 1950’s Chandigarh took 2 years to plan and 10 to deliver. Today with all the satellites and space age tech, we don’t have a single road that can be called world class. But, they’ll give you more roads, more tunnels, more concrete more metro rail (which never gets built). And fell more trees… Today is 13 February it’s still the winter season and the daytime temperatures are 36 degrees in Pune. All because they insist upon felling and felling and felling all the tree cover in Pune, destroy our green cover and give us a concrete filled, polluted, hot and dirty city. This is the filth we elected. The filth we chose to rule over us, illiterate Chaiwalla’s and Rickshawalla’s and what have you. Watch as more trees get felled and rue the next big plan they have to destroy the city.

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐲: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐮𝐧𝐞’𝐬 𝐀𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐬 A notice now clings to the trunk of this magnificent tree at the Burning Ghat in #KoregaonPark, Pune—a silent death sentence. Soon, it will be gone. And it’s not just this tree. Hundreds more in the area are being felled under the pretext of obstructing the so-called #RFD (Riverfront Development) Project and the 30-meter DP road. The people living here had no idea. The sound of chainsaws as one tree after another was brought down. It was only when the destruction began that they realized their beloved trees were next. Heartbroken and helpless, they did the only thing they could: they hugged the trees, whispering silent goodbyes to the very beings that had stood tall for centuries, providing shade, shelter, and life itself. One morning, an officer arrived, pasted a notice on the tree, and declared it an "obstruction." Obstruction? The real obstruction lies in the minds of those who design lifeless concrete jungles, ignoring the irreplaceable trees and the fragile ecosystem they support. With every tree that falls, Pune moves one step closer to a future of scorching heat and barren landscapes. If this massacre continues at the current pace, Pune will soon be unrecognizable—a dry, lifeless city gasping for breath. #Pune #KoregaonPark #Tree #Felling #RFD #Road @PuneRivers @MrMcgreely @navipeth @AngadPatwardhan @ameetgsingh @jbaphna @ultra__sonic @JSecretary_SCM @AjitPawarSpeaks

I did fight a case to get rid of the First amendment all the way upto Supreme Court and they said that the legislature is not their domain. Which is true, isn’t it, but you have Chaiwalla’s and Rickshawalla’s ruling over the legislature elected by the likes of stupid city folk such as you and others of your ilk. So you have to live with that don’t you. It’s your own doing coming back at you to haunt you…

They’re just facts despite them being in the public domain for years and years. People want to turn a blind eye towards things and instead think that pouring concrete over their heads will bury the problem. Putting a bandaid over an open wound will make the wound go away or invisible. Life goes on, despite Morons like you who insist upon looking the other way.

If you knew what a slum is and why it exists I could make a beginning but when you can’t fathom that slums have legal protections in this country because the government doesn’t want to free up factor markets and keep everything under their control. I can’t make any sense to you. You’re senseless.

You are a first class moron aren’t you. The first thing you need to do to ensure the river comes back to life is to stop 🛑 absolutely stop dumping sewage in it. Stop dumping sewage, treat the sewage and repurpose it, What part of the above don’t you understand. The RFD isn’t about treating sewage. It’s a real estate grab. It’s so hard getting something that simple across to you. Meanwhile this is the state of affairs at the river 👇🏽

If a city exists slums also will, slums are the reflection of a housing supply gap in a growing city in India, they’re also a reflection of bad planning and even worser laws such as the first amendment and the ninth schedule, all of which Chaiwalla sarkar has had no courage to destroy, Ergo: slums, Slums can be got rid off through smart regulation and change in laws very quickly but who cares.. you certainly don’t, you don’t even know enough to care…

I have planted 25000 already and will plant lakhs more. Don’t worry about me or my plantation effort, Worry about the biomass lost when a single ancient tree is felled. If a tree weighing a few tons or a hundred tons is lost it takes with it an entire ecosystem, How will you understand this, your brains can’t perceive that Interceptor drainage networks are more or less totally useless. Sewage needs to be treated and repurposed as far away from the river as possible, but how would you know all you do is read the EC and parrot it back to us.

@G40Varun @VetalTekdi @PuneRivers @SVYadwadkar @ChaitanyaKet @jbaphna @vandymini @PKarve_Samuchit @Medha_kulkarni @vandanahchavan @Wangchuk66 It can’t be Because you have to clean the water in the river first. By continuing to dump Sewage into the river and tying off the banks with concrete you’re killing the rivers capacity to rejuvenate itself. Bad idea = RFD Among the worst. That’s why it cannot be.
