I have worn my n95 religiously, I don’t go out without it. The stakes are too high for me. Tested positive today along with my 4 yo and 9 yo who also mask consistently. This is just fucked.

Tonight I held a dance concert for my small dance studio. We had just over 100 in the audience. I made sure we had all the doors open (incl the whole back wall) and every single audience member wore a mask. It was so simple. I just asked nicely! (And supplied some masks)

My kids chose not to attend ‘school movie night’ tonight. They are 9, 7 & 4 and know the risk of putting 400 kids into the closed hall for 2 hours, esp after warnings in the newsletter about high transmission of c19 and flu. I hope I made ours special enough for them…

@KOOLFOOLTATTOO Haha. My daughter is honest when she forgets. And the first thing she said when tested +ve was ‘oh mum I’m so sorry, I haven’t been careful enough’ it’s too much responsibility for kids. I set her straight on the fact that it would’ve come from me picking it up at work.

Well fuck fuck fuckity fuck. My beautiful 83yo mum (just getting over a terrible case of shingles) has been two places in the last week. Our GP and her geriatrician. And now she has Covid for the first time. How do we even get antivirals on a Saturday night at 6pm 🤷🏽‍♀️💔

You know the worst thing… I feel like an idiot for getting long covid. But I genuinely haven’t shared indoor air for years. I was masked with a 3M Aura at work when I got covid that led to LC. I knew all the right things, and it still wasn’t enough.

@CindyMoreviews My point is that it probably came from a time that one of my kids forgot to mask at school, or when my 4 yo attended daycare (he doesn’t mask there) but also that one way masking isn’t enough when the community doesn’t give a shit about vulnerable people.

At this stage of the pandemic, the best indicators of COVID-19 activity in the community are emergency department (ED) presentations (Figure 1) and sewage surveillance (Figure 10). These suggest COVID-19 transmission continues to increase in NSW.
