Tomorrow I get a response from the lawyer’s of the “opposition.” I was 19 and this lawsuit has been 4 yrs + a lot of psychology torture in the making. I’m terrified. Reading everyone’s response to this tweet has me in tears..... thank you for making me feel less alone ❤️

Hopefully it’s the legal wake-up UK universities need to know that they do have a duty of care to investigate allegations of sexual conduct properly and to support victims. With this case, those who’ve been mistreated by their uni will have an easier time holding them to account.

Winning this case has been a sigh of relief that cannot be overstated. To have my experience validated in a court of law is overwhelming to say the least.
This is a win for all student who’ve endured sexual violence whilst at university.

We walked into the Royal Courts of Justice in April to sit a week-long trial that truly felt like David versus Goliath. It has been almost 5 years of the university’s legal representatives making threats about “putting us through a potentially difficult and stressful trial.”
