Today is Ukraine’s Armed Forces Day when we celebrate our heroes. Couldn’t be prouder of my brother who, like thousands of Ukrainians, serves his nation💙💛
📷with his wife during his brief visit home in Oct.
When the 2nd invasion happened in Feb 2022, my brother’s daughter turned 1 month. Seeing russians executing civilians trying to flee Kyiv, my brother decided to go defend his daughter, his family, his country.
I don’t think people understand, and there’s a limited attention span atm, how significant this is.
russia is being moved away from Crimea and Black Sea, all the declared ‘red lines’ have been negated.
Ukraine will win. While no one is watching and very few believe.
Since we had gone on Christmas holiday on 23rd Dec, I’ve received news of 5 friends getting killed in the battle of
#Donbas
, two of them today..
Dearest UK, when you toast to a New Year tomorrow please make a wish for peace & victory for 🇺🇦💔
When I manage to beg a selfie out of my brother, I know he’s had a more or less ok day.
A daily reminder of our boys fighting this war on the frontlines, while the world keeps debating if they should live or not.
#ArmUkraineToWin
In Ukraine, we are used to the fact that life takes the best ones away from us.
Now this is true for UK too.
Thank you for your beautiful voice on Ukraine, on freedom, on bravery, Friend. You are now forever in the Legion of Heroes.
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our colleague, David Knowles.
David was a talented journalist and a much-loved friend and a colleague. He will be greatly missed.
Talking to the President-elect of Belarus Svitlana Tsikhanovskaya, it is clearer than ever that Ukraine’s and Europe’s security depends on Belarus’s freedom.
Belarus will be free again but it needs Western democracies’ continuous and sustained support.
Today, Ukraine celebrates its National Defenders’ Day. I couldn’t be prouder of the hero that my brother is.
Having liberated Izum and Lyman in 2022, and fought in Bakhmut and Serebriansky forest this year, he is determined to keep on fighting until our home is safe for our kids
The most surreal moment in time. As my brother is giving me instructions on what to do with his wife if he doesn’t return from Bakhmut, the Parliament sq is blasting Ukrainian anthem greeting Zelenskyy to London 💙💛No way to stop the tears
Today, I feel like dedicating all of my 20s to fighting for democracy in Ukraine have paid off.
Ukraine is a European nation.
What a beautiful gift to our children.
Thank you to all of my friends who helped make this happen 🇪🇺🇺🇦
Magnitsky Awards are always deeply touching but last night’s ones were especially emotional, talking to 🇺🇦children saved from russian captivity
@MykolaKuleba

@Billbrowder
for your continued support for global justice
The end of diplomatic service of Ukraine’s Ambassador to the UK might have come as a surprise to London observers, but it was not as shocking on the Ukrainian front. /1
This is my brother, dressed in love. And in all of my life savings, top to bottom.
As those, after a year of war, have successfully served their purpose to preserve his life, much more is needed. Surveillance drones and radios, to be specific ⬇️
Rang in New Year while my brother, intermittently on the phone with me, was shooting down Iranian Shaheds.
My toast goes out to the bravest men that I admire the most right now - the Ukrainians 💙💛
Ukraine will win
These have been the most peaceful 4 weeks since the start of war for me while my brother was training in England. Thank you
@DefenceHQ
for standing with Ukraine and giving our brave boys a chance to live and to win 🇺🇦🇬🇧Forever Grateful 🙏🏻
The most anticipated meeting of 18months. Our family home in Ukraine. Like there is no war for my brother to go back to outside those walls. Feels like nothing’s changed and yet, it’s so different.
Got to spend 2.5 days with my brother before he got called back to service.
The best Birthday gift I could’ve gotten today - a video from my brother. Coming back from ground zero to their stationing positions, having dodged a massive strike and still joking about it. Your prayers do work🙏🏻
Thank you for standing with Ukraine 💙💛
Nothing Ukrainians find more beautiful these days than fighter jets. This beauty is F-117A Nighthawk, the first ever stealth aircraft produced by
@LockheedMartin
For those who are underwhelmed by 🇺🇦 counteroffensive not being active enough.
Spoke to my brother who’s now on Lyman axes - 5 of his unit dead in the last 4 days.
It’s very active out there.
This is war
Ukraine needs consistent and fast weapons supply
Today’s my brother’s birthday, he is turning 37 🎂
And even though I haven’t heard from him in a little while, I sincerely hope, pray & believe that he has at least a fraction of a day when he feels all our love and support 💙💛
Faith is a form of courage
Zelenskyy became notoriously known for keeping loyalty as one of the main factors of success in his administration even prior to war. At the time of raging hybrid warfare, importance of alignment and solidity of a message clear of individual ambitions is hard to overestimate.
Every element of embroidery on Ukrainian Vyshyvanka has a meaning. Cornflowers symbolise woman's integrity, purity and beauty of the soul.
Another beautiful piece created by Ukrainian refugees in London as part of fundraising campaign for the Armed Forces.
It is time to recognise putin's presidency illegitimate. A war criminal who is responsible for waging a genocidal war against its neighbour can no longer be allowed to be a part of the community of democratically elected leaders across the world.

This Christmas Eve, along with your loved ones, please say a prayer for Ukrainian warriors.
Second photo is my brother’s Christmas dinner, like for tens of thousands of others of our boys and girls.
Thank you for standing with Ukraine in 2023 and beyond 💙💛
Incredible scenes from Tbilisi.
Foreign Ministers of Estonia, Lithuania and Iceland joined protesters outside the Parliament. The Anthem of Europe is being played. 🇬🇪🇪🇺

500 days. 500 heartbreaks.
There will come the time when we’ll tell all our stories and reveal our wounds. For now, we keep on fighting.

Johnson going won’t mean less support for 🇺🇦 bc
1) Britons support 🇺🇦
2) Tories want to look strong on defence/can use war to justify no new elections (that risk majority)
3) Starmer’s Labour is pro-Ukraine & keen to show it after Corbyn (cf 2014 Maidan, Skripals)
What has actually happened in Russia last weekend and what/who was behind Prigozhin’s mutiny?

Thank you to great friends who bring me to Golden Gate Bridge and bring 🇺🇦flag for me.
Silicon Valley stands with Ukraine, not just bc it’s right but bc it’s the hub of innovation and the future of tech
On 5Jan I wrote for
@Telegraph
that Ukraine is at its darkest hour but it can still win this war. Our victory has just begun and we will share it with those who stood by us.
Thank you🇺🇸
And shame on 112 republicans, Reagan would be ashamed of you.
I’ve shared this with my brother who is fighting near Bakhmut. They are watching it with his unit in the trenches of Donbas right this moment, and my brother just told me how proud he was of me. Him,fighting for the future of our home and the world, is proud of me💔🙏🏻
@Telegraph
My brother’s lived in the US for 10y before returning to 🇺🇦to fight. Ahead of going home to see him next week, I asked what I can bring him from my US trip. He’s asked for 🇺🇸&🇬🇧flags to put them up outside of his house.
We do appreciate all the support 💙💛
This is Ukraine's darkest hour. But it's always darkest before dawn.

The senses of pride and heartbreak are in direct variation for Ukrainians.
I was proud on Maidan in 2004.
I was heartbroken during Revolution in 2014.
I am in awe of my nation today.
Happy Independence Day, my dearest, bravest, most beautiful Ukraine 🇺🇦
20y ago today we started our 🇺🇦fight for the right to be European during Orange Revolution. 10y ago today we continued our fight on
#Maidan
Ukraine will never give in its freedom
The sun always rose again after bloody nights over our Independence Square
Hence, the replacement of such representative in a country that has become a strongest ally and supporter of Ukraine during the time of war, was only a matter of attention span, patience and time. /6
A photoshoot displaying the heritage of Ukrainian national costumes, embroidery and jewellery dating back to the 18th century or hand-made by Ukrainian refugees in London in 2023.
All proceeds go to Armed Forces of Ukraine
Therefore,there was no close alignment between President’s Office in Kyiv and its rep in London. Ambassador’s recent comments were not the sole reason for his resignation, but merely a continuation of Ambassador’s position he never shied away from promoting behind closed doors./5
It’s not always easy to have a Ukrainian on staff. We are often distraught, distressed and carry grief within us daily. But my amazing colleagues
@AtticusPartners
haven’t just embraced it in the last 7m, they’ve supported me through it. Thank you🙏🏻
Two years.
War reveals who people truly are. We know who Ukrainians are now. Heroes.
But, my fellow Westerners, it is much less clear who we really are. Heroes need friends, now more than ever.
When will this war end is a question for us and our leaders, not Ukrainians.

The Ukrainians are now heading back home, getting ready to fight against the Russian Army.
We are at the dawn of a new world order.

The most heart-warming time of the day. This time got to speak to my brother for the whole 53 min as he is recovering from flu several miles away from the frontline

Diplomatic postings have long been a way to send off an influential actor away from the decision making centre but keep them close enough to avoid annihilation. We saw that with recent appointment of Ambassador to Switzerland. /3
Georgia’s Revolution of Roses 20y ago inspired Ukraine’s Orange revolution. It’s now time for Georgians to get inspired by 🇺🇦Revolution of Dignity of 2014.

Ukraine increased its military spending by 640% in 2022 $44bn. Russia only increased by 9% but its budget is still double the size $86.4bn.
If the West doesn’t increase aid to Ukraine, it is setting the country for a failure and total destruction.
This is an existential war for Ukraine. If we make a deal now, like we did in 2015, Putin will only come back ten years later to eliminate the Ukrainian nation as an entity.
Thank you

With Ukraine’s counteroffensive stalling and the world’s focus on the Israel-Hamas war, some have questioned whether it’s time for Zelensky to consider a peace treaty with Putin. But military experts say Zelensky can’t do this - in the short-term at least.
