My former Phnom Penh Post colleague Mech Dara is one of the bravest and most talented reporters I’ve ever worked with.
A personal anecdote I’d like to share from working with him: (1/4)
Deeply troubled to hear reports of Mech Dara’s arrest in Cambodia. Dara is one of the most dogged journalists in the country. This news is a sad reminder of the risks reporters face there.
Florida's medical schools have been trying to collectively access the DOH's raw COVID-19 data for months.
DOH said: you can't have it as a group. No collaborations across different universities on the data...
Data which as of yet nobody has access to.
Would Jeffrey Clark’s removal hearing have gone better for him if he testified?
Probably not, says GSU law professor

I’m a fan of yours, but please, you are attacking scientists, and in this case, you have seriously misunderstood the process of fundamental research and drug development. Or, at least, the viral clip of you “taking down big Pharma” portrays you as such, and is a disservice to you
Here’s video: real time and slow motion of a BCSO deputy firing 10 shots in 3.5 seconds at 3 Black teens killing 2, AJ Crooms and Sincere Pierce.
No charges, Brevard’s state attorney ruled today, because his life was endangered by car moving 12mph, justifying the shooting.
“People don’t want gunfire and bomb detonations to be the soundtrack of their neighborhood,” said Bentley Hudgins, an organizer who lives nearby.

Sheriff Wayne Ivey needs to release the video of combat veteran Gregory Edwards dying in a Brevard County jail. He died in late 2018 and the video STILL has not been released.
The dark winter that was forewarned shattered COVID-19 records for Brevard as the month of January accounted for more than a quarter of cases and a fifth of the dead in the county since the pandemic's start.
