SAYA SAKAKIBARA WINS GOLD FOR AUSTRALIA 🥹🚴‍♀️💚💛 One of the most heartwarming stories at the Paris Games has come true, with Saya Sakakibara dominating the women's BMX race to win gold. Sakakibara did it wearing her brother, Kai's, number 77, who suffered a traumatic brain injury while preparing for the Tokyo Games in the same event leaving him in a coma. Saya led from start to finish in the race to claim gold, redemption for her after a horror crash in Tokyo that saw her stretchered off the course. And to make things even better, Saya's French Boyfriend Romain Mahieu winning bronze in the men's equivalent event. We're not crying, WE SWEAR, congratulations to Kaya and the Sakakibara family!
