- how might we actually deliver a covered M8 through Charing Cross? Re-establishing key connections, removing the barrier of the Woodside Viaduct with Boulevard and opportunities for development around the edges of new linked parks.
The 'M8 roof garden' at Charing Cross was first proposed in 2015. The Metro plan was announced in 2019. We're still no further forward on how any of these projects are to be financed and delivered. The Council needs to stop acting like a think tank and actually deliver projects.
