Haha, oh, I remember this National Interest article, ' Arvind Chitra Katha.' It was the beginning of my skepticism toward AAP. A lot wiser now. via @YouTube

If India is serious about closing the combat aviation technology gap with China, it needs to actively bring in foreign expertise where necessary—just as it did with Kurt Tank for the HAL Marut.

Today, it comes full circle after 10 years in power, with little to show for its achievements. For posterity, we must be wary of those proposing radical laws as a panacea for the country's troubles and avoid movements with amorphous aims.

A slowdown due to declining demand is always difficult to address. Urban demand is falling, and the new tax exemption seems to be the government's solution to revive it. But how effective will it be amid asset inflation? That remains a big question.

Justice Iyer wasn’t a good writer either. He often disregarded two of George Orwell’s golden rules for good writing: (i) never use a long word where a short one will do, and (ii) if it is possible to cut a word out, always cut it out. His writing was overly verbose and complex.

Justices Iyer, Chandrachud, etc., might have been good writers, but the crispness of short and sweet judgments hitting the bull's eye is not their virtue. American & UK judgments are so short and to the point and yet landmark in settling disputes which have wider ramifications.

@Jingjing_Li You don't need China for that. Wealth inequality in China is starker compared to the US. Europe has achieved better outcomes with less government control. This is pure delusion.

Shaktikanta Das exemplifies how career bureaucrats can sometimes outperform trained economists simply because they are adept at navigating messy politics and institutional friction.

Last update on this: my friend got married in a beautiful, intimate, and warm wedding. There's nothing more heartwarming than watching two people absolutely in love with each other get married. It fills your heart with joy, happiness, and love. I feel lucky.

Rare to find true stoics. But a friend of mine didn't have money to even pay for the EMI. He worked at call center at the night and went to college in the day. Bought the laptop, sometimes I ask him how he remains so calm with near-zero bank balance. He just smiles.

@IndusThink Sure, my point is that L&T is one of the few firms where ]one can rise to the chairman position starting as a junior engineer. To achieve this, one must work 70–90 hours a week. That’s the truth, & there’s no point in sugarcoating it. Ultimately, it depends on one's priorities.
