Late night listening to an interview podcast with Angela Merkel while tinkering with stuff. One has to acknowledge that she was an incredibly skilled political operator and much smarter than probably most politicians trying their luck today. Obviously a different world, too.

Installing tailscale on machines that hadn't had it before to join another tailnet - for reasons. Looking at my own tailnet and going: "Oh, this old phone? And that laptop, I've reformatted and given to XYZ...10 months ago..." Why is so hard to keep your home IT all smooth? 😂

@philliphaydon @davidfowl I would also not recommend the Ubuntu repo apt install of dotnet on Linux. Add the MSFT repos, as much as it might be against your preference, and your experience will be so much better.

Also: don't buy the S25 at day 0. Waste of money. Wait 6+ months for it to stabilize and save 30-40% off RRP then.

@potatoslav I know exactly what you mean - thrift stores (opshops) are everywhere here in New Zealand and hardly exist in Germany. There are a couple in Berlin, and I would have thought Göttingen would probably lend itself to some, too, due to the transient student population.
