Best big in the draft. Could see the Raps drafting him at the 6/7 spot.
Derik Queen today vs. Rutgers: • 29 points • 9-16 FG • 15 rebounds • 5 assists In at least the last 20 yrs (since 2004-05)… Queen is the ONLY freshman in D-I MBB to record 25+ pts, 15+ reb & 5+ ast in a single game. Historic performance.

.@coachthorpe with a spot on (as always) analysis of the long term fit implications of Ingram trade. It makes sense if RJ accepts a role (and commensurate $$ extension) as a 6th man. He probably doesn’t and RJ becomes expendable. The question is: does anyone want him at $28m / yr ?

For those keeping track, @TheSteinLine first reported Toronto's interest in Brandon Ingram. Always has the best Raptors intel. Was first to report trading for Jakob, and was first to report FVV to Houston.
. @TheSteinLine reporting the Raptors are interested in Brandon Ingram. Of all the NBA guys, I find Stein has the best Raptors intel. Was early on them buying Jak 3 years ago, and FVV departure to Houston.

Would like to see the Raps move Boucher for Zeke Nnaji and Daron Holmes. Nnaji can serve as our backup 5. Holmes was the Nuggets 1st round pick this year, and they were high on him before he tore his achilles. Nnaji contract declines YoY next 3 years as well.
Nuggets have no 2rps to trade and only 2031 first. They are over 1st apron but can get under if they trade Saric, but have no 2rp to attach. DEN would jump on Boucher as a buyout and while Raps would be open to Boucher back, post-Ingram cap situation is very tight. 🤷

@garthmyers But I think there’s a 50/50 shot RJ is on this team next year. He’s most expendable imo and not worth whatever his future $$$ will be.

@garthmyers Ingram and Barrett can still write their future. Actually think this roster is most optimal with RJ as 6th man (assuming we don’t get top 3 in lottery)

@6ixIn6 Totally agree. We’re not bad enough to drop below 6 whether we make this trade or not.
