The most frequent argument against the wealth tax is that it makes the wealthiest migrate.
A 1pp increase in the tax makes 2% of millionaires migrate in the long run. This migration reduces GDP by 0.1% and employment by 0.03%, much less than what can be funded with the revenues.
New study on Sweden's wealth tax: 1/3 of wealthy out-migration flows were caused by the wealth tax, but it didn't hurt total tax revenues or the country's economy much. Migration responses to the wealth tax are much too small to make the repeal of the tax pay for itself!

Mon empreinte carbone: 5,3t CO2eq/an (4,7t si on me dédouane des trajets en avion professionnels).
Si je devenais complètement végétalien, que j'arrêtais le vélo électrique, la voile et la bière, je passerai à 3,9t: mes émissions incompressibles (chauffage collectif, bouffe...).
Voici en toute transparence mon empreinte carbone : 3,7t CO2eq/an.
Ce qui serait super, c'est que toutes les personnes qui voient ce message prennent 5 min et fassent le calcul eux même, c'est fait en quelques clics ! ⤵️

TL;DR: successful decarbonization requires public investment and targeted subsidies + preferential loans for poor & fossil-fuel-dependent households.
I'd add that this should be funded by taxing the rich.
