I think he’s too comfortable in his skin to loose his sense of humour👍😊 - he clearly has a lot of knowledge, and maybe more importantly, a sense of ‘principles’. If one truly understands a principle, one can debate from a point of great power and strength - so many politicians seem to be lacking in this these days - from all sides

Indeed - i agree with you there Charlie. I’m pleased to see Reform have today, again ruled out a coalition with the Tories, who’s majority of MP’s are Labour like anyway - this was a huge mistake they made at the last election - they should have taken the opportunity to put in more genuine Tories, but their failure will be compounded at the next election - take care🙏

I think you are quite mistaken here; a neo Marxist government will not give up power until it is taken away from them by the people at a general election. This isn’t a Labour government like any previous, obtaining power and using every minute they have to control and change as much as possible to suit their ideology is all they are interested in. They will soon seek to curb free speech even more, in a bid to control the narrative and thoughts of people. They will seek to devide and control; it will ultimately be doomed to utter failure, but a lot of pain and hardship will have been ‘inflicted’ by the time that happens. Hopefully the result will be such ideology will be swept to the fringes for a very long time, and succeeded by what history will see as a great new ‘reforming’ government. This i think will be akin to the aftermath of the First World War, when a huge shift took place in how society was seen too be acceptable to the majority. Much of the world is in effect at war now; a war of ideas, just as dangerous and damaging as a physical war - lets just hope and pray, it doesn’t go that far, at least any more so than it already has🙏

The broken Britain parliament!? I know what we do need though, another ‘great reforming government’ - focussed on eliminating laws more than introducing endless new ones - which will be necessary, but much of what’s been introduced over many years needs to be completely eliminated so they cannot easily be used again

In the next couple of years, I’d see a more than 50% chance this could happen - all down to timing of course - she won’t be the only one i’m sure - I’ve never quite understood though why she felt her only option was to turn to ‘-Jeremy Hunt’ - apart from one assumes immense pressure from within - but it felt wrong at the time, and still does

I agree, it’s similar too how we in effect gave up much our manufacturing industries over the past 40 - 50 years - if we had insisted on a more level playing field, with the same standards as in the uk - much of these industries could have been retained - in many ways, the same as farming today. I suspect though in the future, standards here will be lowered to some degree, in order to reach future trade agreements - notably with the US. If this were to happen it needs a strong farming lobby, and a broader view as too food security in the future. I understand in many ways (not all) New Zealand and Australia align more with UK standards than does say the US. Maybe in the future, food trade agreements will be based around commonly agreed minimum standards. Such things should ‘not’ though be dominated by political ideology; people have woken up to this kind of deception - thankfully🙏

You compliment each other well - we are kinda used to you getting up in the small hours, so an added treat to see Michael as well. I’m ‘assuming’ he’s a great guy to have at your side on such a show. I like both of your shows on Sundays, i hope they both continue into the far future, too loose either would feel like a ‘real’ loss - take care Dawn🙏

Their house is one of cards built on shifting sands. Ironically out of the top cabinet members, only Starmer and Lammy Reeves and Miliband have a realistic chance of surviving the next election. Streeting whom many seem to think will eventually take over from Starmer only has a majority of just 528! Rachel Reeves has a majority of 10,564. If Starmer were to sack Reeves, one suspects it would just add too her support from the back benches, to eventually launch a campaign to take over from him, as she ‘might’ just survive the next election. Ed Miliband has a majority of just over 12,000 - do he could be in with a chance of taking over! - What could possibly go wrong?!!!

You have plenty of time to get this right - no excuses in 4 years time - there will be missteps along the way, but I’d suggest you focus on eliminating current laws that are holding the country back, rather than just adding new ones. Any new legislation needs to add something, that couldn’t be achieved by eliminating a previous law. Then possibly the next government could be seen a ‘great reforming’ one - time will tell

The beauty of these formats is of course that one take things at a slower pace, and delve deeper, an outline of his life and how he’s arrived where he is today would be interesting; I’ve only heard snippets before, so a more in-depth understanding of what ‘drives’ him would be interesting; what he sees as his ‘core’ values. I sense they are foundations of ‘stone’ as opposed to so many today, that are founded on shifting sand. Always good to hear you Cristo, i miss your regular shows - but good to see you adjusting- take care🙏

@ZiaYusufUK @Nigel_Farage Indeed, the next parliament needs to remove legislation, more than it adds to it - that would be a ‘reforming’ government

I suspect one could spend quite a productive parliament, by mostly eliminating bad historical laws - and only implementing a few well thought out ones! - what might be seen as a ‘negative’ parliament - in that it eliminated a lot that holds us back, might well prove to be a great ‘reforming’ one!
