Marwan Barghouti is a popular figure in Palestine. If released and played a leading role in the PLO he would be likely a unifying force for all Palestinian factions. This also shows the Israelis have been forced into a position they’d rather not be in.

It’s not that Free Staters are opposed to violence, it’s that they’re opposed to Irish Republicanism and they can’t stand the ideals behind the armed struggle. The same Free Staters have no opposition to NATO and the imperialist wars they led.
@RMcGreevy1301 @ConorHogarty Simple question, whose Irish sons & daughters will fight these wars? The noble few who came North, were demonised as "blind", as "romanticists", "militarists". It's a fascinating phenomena that's it's okay to advocate killing for Europe but not for one's own country.
