Appreciate the recognition. In a world where awards often go to just PPG, it’s great to see @jgaffney2026 recognized for doing the little things right. Because he’s face-guarded all game, every game, he’s taken the mindset to set screens, make the extra pass, dive on the floor, and guard the opponent’s best player—just playing the game the right way. Those who understand the game see it. Michigan's 2026 class is heavy with strong guard play. Still not many could make the one-hand, 40 foot assist to a man in stride like Charlevoix' Joe Gaffney did against Boyne City; fewer dive for a loose ball up 20 with 90 sec to play. Like league rival fellow 2026 guard Braeden Flynn from Harbor Springs, rare mix of skill, IQ and physical playmaking override sub 6 foot status to transcend as college players.

Great team win for the Charlevoix Rayders last night over highly ranked rival Harbor Springs, 54-44! My favorite Rayder, @jgaffney2026 , was locked in—super efficient 15 points and played defense like a glove, shadowing one of Michigan’s top scorers, Brayden Flynn, for 32 minutes. I'm a lifelong democrat and have voted in every presidential election since I turned 18 in 1990. That's votes cast for Clinton, Clinton, Gore, Kerry, Obama, Obama, Clinton, and Biden. I can't and won't vote for Biden again. I won't vote for Trump, but just sit it out. There are many like me. Biden staying in the race is giving it to Trump. Time for a Gen X President. Step aside and it's a landslide victory. Stay in and it's a landslide defeat. The choice is yours.

As a lifelong democrat, albeit with only two-thirds the life experience as Lynn, I can tell you he’s right. Give me someone to be excited about voting FOR not just someone to vote against. Biden should not, and let’s be honest, really isn’t President. Not sure who is, but I have a hard time casting my vote for an 80+ year old man. There’s lots of Gen X “youth” in the democratic party that voters could get behind with energy. Do you really want the man on the debate stage leading the country in a true international crisis?

Can't thank the Alma coaches (@MikeFitz_03 and @Coach_Staley ) enough for taking the time to meet with Joe and make him an offer at the @AlmaScotsMBB team camp. Just a huge reminder to him that #hardwork pays off and how important it is to #trusttheprocess . I know lately he's been doubting that hours a day in the gym by himself would pay off. It's such a validation that being dedicated doesn't go unnoticed. #GoScots
