In an interview this week, a candidate asked me, "What are you most proud of about @magicschoolai?" Impact. At an EdTech conference in San Diego last year, a teacher came to our booth in the exhibit hall, carrying injured leg on a scooter and full of energy. We had a lot of our team there that day, probably about 8 of us at the small booth. She came up and loudly exclaimed, "Who's in charge around here?" It was a bit hard to tell if you she was upset or excited - nonetheless, the team nervously pointed at me and I raised my hand and went over to talk to her. She said, "I just want to give you a hug"... I shared a hug, we laughed and were relieved and she went on to tell us the story of her school year. "I'm a special education teacher and there are 2 in my 8th grade level. In October, the other special education teacher quit and all of her work showed up on my doorstep. I had 2 weeks to finish all their IEPs and had no idea how I'd be able to do it. I'll tell you, if I didn't find MagicSchool, I would have been the second special education teacher quitting. So, I just wanted to say thank you." If you've worked in schools like I have, it's an all too familiar story. The job is hard enough as it is, but so many of these uncontrollable situations happen and teachers bear the weight of these challenges. Those stories and now the stories of hearing kids using MagicSchool to improve their learning - that's why we do the work. Teachers are the Magic, we're just here to help.

Announcing MagicSchool's $45M Series B Fundraise to Transform Teaching and Learning with AI In just over 18 months since our launch, @magicschoolai has found its way into educator workflows like nothing before it. Today, millions use MagicSchool as an AI assistant for their work and for creating responsible AI experiences for their students. We are now partnered with more than 10,000 schools, with an educator using MagicSchool in nearly every U.S. school district—and in 160 countries around the world. As a lifelong educator, I have seen firsthand how schools struggle with limited resources. While AI cannot solve every challenge in education, we are committed to building tools that help bridge the gap. MagicSchool’s AI is already addressing significant needs in schools, such as differentiating instruction, supporting language learning, providing adaptive one-on-one tutoring, differentiating instruction, and offering just-in-time support for students. Yet, we know there is so much more we can do to support educators and students. Schools and districts frequently ask, “Can you build this too?”—and we want to say yes every single time. To meet this growing demand, we recently launched MagicSchool Labs, a dedicated space for developing and testing new AI-driven tools for education.
