A couple of months ago, I got my first BIG opportunity to work with smart minds of design community. Saw a post from @namyakhann that @withsupafast her design agency was hiring. I reached out. Got an assignment: Design a landing page website with responsive design for an AI startup within 48 hours. Ig I finished it in 32 hours—faster than expected. Cleared the first round. I didn’t know my own capabilities before this. Then came more rounds: → Convert desktop landing pages into responsive mobile versions. DONE. → Design a bento card. DONE. → Final task: Design a hero section for a client's landing page. The last step. The final nail in the coffin. And I messed up. Not because I lacked the skills, but because I let the pressure get to me. I overthought every decision, overwhelmed myself with the weight of the "BIG OPPORTUNITY," and froze. I didn’t make the cut. It stung. I told myself: Never again. But here’s what I learned: → Trust yourself. If you’ve come this far, you deserve the opportunity. → Overthinking kills execution. Fear and doubt will hold you back more than any challenge. → You earn your spot. Don’t self-sabotage when you’re right on the edge of success. → Despite not making it, she made sure I got paid. And for that, I’m grateful. Wouldn’t change a thing. This shaped me. And I know I’m only getting started.

Even some of the tweets I see on my feed are AI generated. You can literally sense from the tone and writing style. I think slowly we will loose our thinking capacity if this continues.
