In 2008 Iowa Energy Head Coach Nick Nurse came to my house in Des Moines to borrow some basketballs for a shooting camp he was doing. He was genuine and appreciative. Now I’m eating ice cream and watching him spray champagne after winning the NBA.

@CoachRyanParker Honestly? Get Club VB to move to the Fall. It’s the only sport that plays its youth season (3rd-7th) at a DIFFERENT season than the varsity. It completes head-head with youth GBB and is something BBB doesn’t deal with. Imagine every flag football league being Dec-April.

If CF schools do not fully re-open in the fall, our family will NOT be participating in “remote learning.” With 2 full-time working adults at home it creates an unhealthy parent/child relationship and isn’t a reasonable alternative to in-person education.

@GraigMac97 @mrbridgewaters Zone can adequately be taught in high school and kids won’t be behind in defensive fundamentals. If we’re honest 5th grade coaches play zone because it helps you win. It’s results over teaching and done by youth coaches who probably put coaching record on Facebook.

GBB #’s are dying at an alarming rate. We need to do something to help the health of the sport like VB did with rally scoring & libero. Public is concerned about FB dying. real concern is GBB. VB is killing it.
Girls basketball: Analyzing the impact of the shot clock at Rivalry Saturday. Didn't affect scoring. Rarely came into play. Positive influence at the end of games. The bigger impact, frankly, came from the foul/bonus rule. #iahsbkb.
