With Wine Paris only 1 week away I’m starting to get quite excited. The new @CrusBourgeois classification will be announced on Monday 10th. Can’t decide whether to fly or take the train, as the mornings in the Médoc are chilly and misty 🤷‍♂️

Managed to get to Scotland on Saturday, snowing, roads closed, minor damage at home. Father was found outside by a neigbour, blown over whilst getting some champagne from garage. Cracked ribs didn’t prevent him celebrating his last day as 89 year old with friends 🥳 #StormEowyn

JW Mcinnes will celebrate his 90th birthday this we. His son boarded a plane heading to Glasgow, but Glasgow have now closed the airport. His son is watching a video our doctor in Troon shot this afternoon, hoping easyjet will start serving drinks, while we wait🤦‍♂️ #StormEowyn

I woke you up on Monday morning thinking how wonderful it must be to wake up each morning in Saint Emilion. I woke up on Tuesday morning and remembered how wonderful it is to live on the highest plateau in the Médoc. #SaintEmilion #Medoc #sunrise

My Mexican importer placed his first order for 2025 today. I’d cooked Pyrenean black pig ribs overnight. Currently enjoying Tacos Carnitas for supper with La Cardonne 2012. #MiamKitty #crusbourgeois #foodie

@Masterofwhine It can take 6 months for the acetobacter to do it’s thing, and these days it’s maybe easier for most folks to just polish off a bottle of white in a single sitting watching Canal or Netflix 🤷‍♂️

I’ve always been fascinated with sensory perception, particularly regarding flavours.  I find it extraordinary that @janeansonwine and I have detected bilberry in La Cardonne 2022, whereas many others have noted blueberry. Perhaps we’ve spent more time roaming Nordic forests🤷‍♂️

In 2005, two proud fathers vinified two barrels of special cuvées to celebrate the birth of their sons, Jules and Gaston. While preparing raclette and pata negra tonight, my son asked if we should open a bottle of wine. He soon discovered the existence of Cuvée Jules. #MiamKitty

Was invited to Ami Louis in Paris for Poulet Frites tonight.. Train cancelled.. Lidl was open, popped in, discovered a Halal Chicken for €4,96. Bunged it straight into a cocotte, and 2 hours later.. voilà.. It was utterly delicious 🤤. Saved my friend €100 ! #miamkitty

@janeansonwine I sorted the the notes by vintage, and was thrilled to see that there were only two Médoc appellation wines in the list of 200. Vn 2009 was 49th and Vn 2010 was 51st. I had always dreamed that, like the great artworks, they would only be recognised posthumously. Such is life 🤷‍♂️

Faced with many challenges in life, I still find one of the most difficult is deciding which soufflé to have as dessert. To overcome this extraordinary dilemma, perhaps 3 is the best option. Chocolate, Salted Caramel and, without a doubt, Grand Marnier. #miamkitty #Foodie

Harvested three Merlot parcels yesteday, under glorious sunshine. My butcher dropped of some pig’s trotters on his way home. A deliciously rich, savoury, gelatinous pied de cochon for supper, with a glass or two of La Cardonne 2010 (ok, a magnum) 🥳 #crusbourgeois #miamkitty
