OK, I need to weigh in here. My wife is Deaf and uses a captioning program to do her job, very similar to the program Fetterman uses. Should my wife not run for political office? It's one thing to focus on Fetterman's stroke more generally. Don't make this about the captioning.
An important interview with top Senate contender. Will Pennsylvanians be comfortable with someone representing them who had to conduct a TV interview this way?
Ok, I will work on the angle and books. BUT while I have y'all here, the reason I hype my school is because we're a public regional university that has lots of first gen college students and is an engine of economic mobility! 👍👍👍

Of course, we also don't live in a banana republic where you strip powers from the governor just because he belongs to the other party.
So I'm sitting here in Wisconsin when this ad comes on during the Outback Bowl, and I'm imagining the confusion of the average viewer when they see this ad and Oz makes no mention of where he's actually running (Pennsylvania).

I mean, during the 2016 nominating process he did totally grasp that the GOP base cared much more about immigration and demographic change than the Paul Ryan agenda.
Proud teaching moment...I was approached last month to be the faculty advisor for the College Democrats, and was just now approached to be the faculty advisor for the College Republicans. Of course I said yes to both. My students are awesome.
There is simply no spinning this: Derrick Van Orden is underperforming expectations in

. And plenty of Democrats are going to be furious at the party organizations and affiliated PACs for not giving Brad Pfaff some help in this one.

Ben Carson will be the last one remaining, but mainly because he fell asleep in the Cabinet Room while everyone else was resigning.
I'm seeing a lot of optimism from doctors and epidemiologists that the public will receive and understand the messaging from the CDC/FDA just as these agencies intended. And as a political scientist, hoo boy do I have some bad news for them...

I dunno, Ed, I personally love paying the same or more than I would for a hotel, with owners putting spy cameras in the rental and demanding I take out the trash, change the bedding, wipe down the floors, and repaint the walls before I leave. It's Disruptive!
@atrupar
After announcing you dropped out of the race, endorse Donald Trump.
While we've had our differences in this race, I endorse Donald Trump and urge my supporters to unite behind his candidacy in order to stop Biden.
Problem for Team Trump: their messaging for months painted a picture of a confused, mentally declining Joe Biden. That's not what we are seeing right now.
@MEPFuller
Matt, I would add Sunday shows to the mix here. Chuck Todd has repeatedly dropped the ball in this respect, and Jon Karl failed to challenge Mick Mulvaney's misleading health care claims this morning.
I got married today to my best friend! Due to covid-19, we had to change the date, location, and number of guests, but we still made it happen because we are both so stubborn. Thank you Judge Tom Armstrong for officiating. It was a great day!
