popular women in the 2000s weren’t THAT skinny. ppl act like they were all bmi 15. but like have you seen br!tney? ne||y furtad0? p!nk? r!hanna? they were all like ripped & 1000% at a healthy weight. i mean they had insane abs but idk why everyone acts like they were emaciated
when people say stuff like this do they expect me to defend it lmao like i both have a 401k and cry over the way my arm feels against my side im not exactly living the dream lmao
not every ED is rooted in self-hatred. not all of them are even rooted in aesthetics at all.
some of us have OCD tendencies. some of us have paranoia. some of us are addicted to the feeling, the ritual. some of us are obsessed with control.
it’s not one size fits all
i can tell u 15k steps a day bitches must not have with severe n crippling depression. i’m a BMR girlie. a lay in bed & sleep all day girlie. an accidentally did a 2 day fast girlie. a bare minimum productivity girlie.

it’s practically anatomically impossible for your waist to be more narrow than your head WITHOUT extreme waist training, corseting, or, well, a good editing app.

2. if you want the “model” bod, you need to start eating more.
on workout days, go no lower than 800 a day, but shoot for 1200cals.
on non-WO days, never go lower than 500cals
this boosts your metabolic rate & gives you energy to workout & repair muscle, etc

i think these r my favorite bcs of myself and yes i made a little collage of them and yes it took me forever to pick or decide if i even liked any of them and no nobody asked me for this
if we changed absolutely nothing but marketed ourselves as a “fitness/diet/lifestyle” creators, we would be “inspiring” & “relatable” & would be able to post ourselves w/o worry. but because we acknowledge what we’re doing is fucked up & disordered, suddenly it’s taboo & shameful
4. why pilates & barre are best:
there’s a reason “pilates girl” is an aesthetic. pilates & barre tone your muscles by strengthening your core 1st, muscle group 2nd. it lifts your physique up, even against the wear of gravity, by focusing on tiny movements & body optimization

these are still skinny women, still a difficult beauty standard to achieve/maintain. im not arguing against that, just saying that ppl act like all pop culture women were SICKLY in the 2000s when in reality a lot of them were just insanely fit

6. try to eat something before working out if it’s after 1pm. if you don’t, the workout won’t be as good. make it a high fat snack like spoonful of PB or avocado toast
you need protein, but not as much as the gym rats claim. just get some protein in.
she had a lupus flare up & now everyone thinks it’s ok to comment on her body & appearance like idk if y’all know how lupus flares work but… they can make u puffy & gain weight. and they’re super painful
i know there are extreme cases of EDs + restriction but the way y’all all come on the Lord’s Internet & just lie out of your asses like i have been in the game too long to know 99% of y’all are lying & for what. ur anonymous on edtwt, beloved

8. having an ED is impossible. eating more, eating less, eating the right things or nothing at all… it’s all so hard. but i wanted to give this thread to show you that the difference between you & your dream bod may be changing your workouts & adding a few more cals.
