@gmedemma One of the ladies I work with is being sent to northern island, her home and long term partner are in Birmingham she has had her appeal rejected. This new system isn’t working for our future juniors 😪

Some very interesting points relating to patient flow, we need to advocate for those ‘back to baseline’ ‘home tomorrow’ patients and see what we can do if we all think, why not home today?
A lot can happen over 1 more night. You might think you are being kind/cautious but when the patient is better risks of infection, falls, clots etc might out weight the benefits. Plus those extra 24 hours get divided up amongst the patients on the trolleys in ED. #Flow #NHS #UHS
