as we wrap up 2024, here is a playful offering of my current understanding of what is this is all one variant, one possibility among an infinitude of what can be—where the slightest parametric difference could mean collapse or cosmogony you are downstream of the primordial "choice" to be then, the Great Parents of this variant made a much more specific set of "choices" on how to be. there's a loving set of constraints and possibilities imposed on you—or perhaps offered to you. what is not constrained is your true identity. yet the pilgrimage to remembering it—your birthright—can feel like interaction with a metafictional story. in this story, you can eat or be eaten, offer or receive, live a life, or traverse lives awakening to your true identity is a spoiler to one of your plotlines: you are you in this life, a soul across lifetimes, the Great Parents, and that unknowable Noumenon prior to the primordial split. but you are recognizing this through a perspective that has never existed "before" you (and we) get to choose another Yes to Love, a stasis, or a return. indeed, why bother when the bliss of Noumenon is a "given"? well, only you can answer that. what comes from you? what will you choose? there is no "wrong" answer, but there is an immaculate precision and astounding beauty to the design of this form and its context we get to explore the fog of war of this iteration: did Gods design this realm? or are we the Gods designing into it as we illuminate its lacunae and the unknown? you get to prostrate before Gods, your own Promethean godhood, your true identity, to all—or to nothing (perhaps in resentment of the core wound of abandonment by the Great Parents, which this can all feel like) one thing is certain - every possibility you can imagine, the dance of Love will potentiate and as you can see, there simply must be a possibility in which you are able to choose if you can see the unimaginable Love in the offering this represents—to yourself and to the core choice to be... well then - we shall see, won't we? may we find Love's way of collaborating earnestly into its next expression, beloveds tl:dr: Love births reality, reality potentiates being, being opens new perspectives, perspectives spark new becomings, and the process of becoming can, if form chooses, say Yes to Love anew

@goblinodds the sophistry was uniquely frustrating to witness because while it was obvious that the strategy was to use language associated with critical thinking without actually critically thinking, he also used the language incorrectly

here are some ideas from a friend of mine who loves the city Art: CDMX is all about art for us. It's truly spectacular. Highlights: + San Angel - Weekly outdoor art markets (I believe on Saturdays but worthwhile googling to double check). Lots and lots of great artists - painters, sculptors, etc. offering their stuff around the squares and sidewalks in this neighborhood. You can pick up art that you would easily go for $10k+ in art galleries for single percentage fractions of that. Ofc always pays to negotiate - and it's fun. Just Uber to this place and walk around: + Coyoacan - Bazar Artesanal Mexicano and lots more awesome stuff happening here. Always live music, street food, and stuff like the Frida Kahlo museum and Leon Trotsky's house. :D + Fonart stores around the city - There are lots of them and they are government run stores that sell art from artists around the country. Some real gems can be found here. Each is different. Recommended! + Mercado de Artesanías La Ciudadela - Also great, mixed with souvenirs. + Museo Franz Mayer - Beautiful building with the insane decorative arts collection of Franz Mayer. That guy must have spent every waking minute of his life collecting! Beautiful and epic. + Museo de Arte Popular - Folk art museum showcasing art from around Mexico. Special! And then ofc the sights: + Chapultepec Castle - Great place to learn "modern" Mexican history. + Museo Nacional de Antropología - Simply amazing. + Walk between Palacio Bellas Artes and the Zocalo for old Mexico City - Don't miss the Palacio Postal, Av. Francisco I Madero, the cathedral, and of course Templo Mayor de México-Tenochtitlan + Walk up Av de la Refoma for modern Mexico City + Wander Roma and Condesa neighborhoods Outside the city: + Pyramids of Teotihuacan - DO NOT MISS. If you go see one thing in CDMX, it's this. This is close, just Uber there! + Xochimilco - We never went but this would be first on my list for next time. Colorful boat rides, easy trip by Uber. + Taxco - Old silver mining town on a hill that used to be fabulously rich. Far enough to require staying 1-2 nights. Very special place. Reasonable distance still by coach bus. Coach busses in Mexico are very comfortable and safe. + Guanajuato - Our favorite old mining city in Mexico besides Taxco. Lots of epic tunnels and great food. A bit farther than Taxco. + San Miguel de Allende - Also fun but feels like it might be a Mexican theme park in the US. ;) As a result also less bang for your buck. Nearby Guanajuato, so could combine both.

@BecomingCritter @zippkode collateral would have to be illiquid enough over next few years not to be a die-with-zero candidate; the utility of the incremental $5,000 has to compete with the alternative of simply consuming said collateral

@alexandrosM yeah good frame, but does leave those hungry for checks and balances hanging a bit - though that may not be an itch worth trying to scratch in a fast paced situation like this one

do you actually care about the wellbeing of others or do you just feel pain when others feel pain and selfishly want to stop it
