I remember reading the Divine 9 and other books about the formation of Zeta Phi Beta being created to combat colorism, elitism, classism, and to unify black women internationally. So, I’m not surprised at how radical she is. The organization was created to be that.

I am in class with majority Criminal Justice majors. And they scare me. The whole Black excellence trope. Instead of redoing or creating systems that buffer the effects of the criminal justice system on black people... They end up being suboppressors.

I foresaw this happening with Ghana. I always said the worst fear of repatriation to Africa specifically Ghana is creating a American elite upper class that will further oppress people through "business" and not fix systemic issues that effect their underdevelopment.

Hearing that Vic Mensa, Chance the Rapper, Chaka Bars and some other Black celebrities held a ‘panAfrican’ conference in Ghana. As expected it focused on culture. No mention of the IMF. No mention of imperialism. No talk of Ghana’s debt problems. It’s sounding like Liberia 2.0

The way the church treats disability is so weird. Jesus hung around disabled people and there are many disabled people in the Bible who did not have cures. We have to learn how to embrace healing, but also embrace sitting with people in their existence.
