Is it a big blow? Yes, there were some great moments (the blinding run down the left ball into Hirst goal), but there was also large periods of anonymity. I think we were only ever a pit stop, and the delay in signing showed, I think, he had no intention to stay.

Of course there’ll be choppy waters - we’re Portsmouth, nothing is ever plain sailing! However, the way we played Saturday gives me more confidence that anything could happen, including the play offs (rather than the sinking feeling we were doomed from 2 weeks ago!)

Often, yes - but we’ve got Bolton (Internationals) , Barnsley (Queens death) and Fleetwood (Fa cup) all moved from Saturday 3pm to Tuesday nights, so to have another long distance away Tues night may affect the decision making.
