Since stepping off the plane earlier today, my SIL has cleaned and organized our entire kitchen and done 2 loads of laundry. She held the baby for all of 30 mins so that hubs and I could eat. THIS is what new parents want when family come to visit the newborn.

I'm in law school with an autoimmune disease. I take 9 pills a day & get meds by IV every 4 weeks just to keep it under control. At least 2X a year I get really sick, miss a few days of school and have to go through a round of steroids. But I know I'm going to be a great lawyer.
Our position is this: needing an accommodation for a condition or circumstance that warrants it does not mean you will not be a great lawyer. Failing the bar does not mean you won't be a great lawyer. These are single moments in a very long path. 3/

I'm a dusk bunny lawyer -- I'll work for several hours from early morning to before lunch, then my brain turns to mush until 4pm when it clocks in for a second shift.
Not every lawyer can be a morning lawyer. People need swing shift and night owl lawyers too.

Ramón has been such a good big brother. When we brought baby girl home, he immediately understood his job. He keeps a safe distance, but comes over if she coughs or cries to make sure she's alright. He sits by my feet while I feed her. Truly the best boy 🥹

- Get a cat
- Practice taking deep, slow breaths

First gen law students, I know it can be frustrating getting into a field where you have no connections. The good thing is, you can go out and make those connections for yourself! I know it’s scary, but the more lawyers you can meet, the more dividends you will see down the line.

In personal news, tomorrow is my last day at my current firm. I’m thankful for all of the brilliant and kind lawyers I’ve worked with over the past 15 months, but I’m also excited to start on a new adventure 😊
