some of the most important questions around the growth & economic outcomes of L2s are answered in this dash. Everyone should thank
@0xKofi
for this incredible work🥲🙏🏼✨
@0xkydo
Based on the feedback, I've updated my Rollup Economics dashboard to show
- Daily Quantity of L1 data posts by each L2
- Daily Average size in MB of L1 data posts by each L2
You can find these new charts in the "Raw Material" section 📊✨

With regulations coming, some say DeFi will lose its edge.
They’re wrong.
“No regulation” is not the winning feature of DeFi. Neither is decentralization. Take those away and DeFi is still 100x better than TradFi.
Here's a look at DeFi’s true competitive advantages 👇
Let's make Ethereum readable. Together. ⚡️
We're excited to launch event curation, allowing you to contribute and help make onchain events understandable to everyone.

not sure if this has already been asked but it would be great to be able to visualize a query workload. Would love to see what part of a query is slowest (even if it can’t include # rows scanned if it could just show % of time spent on each operation)
✨📊My inaugural guide to web3 data is here!
In it, I'll walk you through:

> layers and players of the data landscape, and key communities
> 3 types of data roles with skills mapped out
🎂 Happy Anniversary of the Merge 🐼
To celebrate,
@Freddmannen
and I wrote a report to provide a timeline view of how rapid the space has evolved over past year, covering notable events and behaviors in the MEV supply chain.
(1/x) Highlights:
Decentralization is the disruption the scientific community needs. It’s going to unlock forms of collaboration in medicine and research that hasn’t been possible. Excited to see how each of these communities grow & more importantly what grows out of them.
@EvanDeKim
@hildobby_
I think it means understanding the data that comes w a tx executing on chain. It’s a mix of knowing the dif. features, the large decoded tbls (transactions, logs, traces, dex/nft.trades) & contract specific info like when certain events are emitted & which contract tbl to look at

We have digital galleries but what about digital libraries? With the popularity of reading lists & the collection of nfts on
@viamirror
it would be cool to be able to enter someone’s “library” & spend time reading what they’ve collected.
This year I discovered I love podcasts.
I made this list originally as a recommendation list to send to friends, but deciding to share since it's a good intro to a lot of topics in the space.
21 podcasts for 2021.
Introducing the NFT Analyst Starter Pack. Enter a contract address, and with one command generate CSV extracts for all token transfers, historical sales, and each underlying item’s metadata (w/ calculated rarity scores). Powered by

Cool visual to see narrative shifts:
- defi & nfts rising to top in ‘21
- macro in ‘19 and rising again in ‘22/‘23 - shift in focus to development & smart contracts
- dissociation from the word “currency” as a popular discussion topic
1/ To survive crypto, you need to grok CT. I analyzed 100M tweets to separate the signal from the noise.

Browsing contracts directly on
@etherscan
sucks. Browsing multi-file contracts on etherscan sucks even harder!
What if you could start an instance of VS Code with the source code of a given address preloaded? Well, Ethereum Code Viewer does exactly that!

Shoutout to all the teachers, students, and sponsors for their hard work over the last 30 days - it's been a joy seeing everyone work together! ❤️🔥
And a big thank you to

Great takeaways!! Every time i think about optimizations I’m 10x more thankful for Dune’s new v2 engine built on Spark🙏🏼

One of the coolest visuals I’ve seen recently - really helps paint a picture of the value of metaverse land in Sandbox. Will be interesting to see how this evolves as more land is bought & the ecosystem grows.
Woah - the ability to connect nfts & attribute creative inspiration or credit to the original is so obvious it’s mind blowing!! Then add on top the potential to earn passive income on an nft?! Amazing 😆 Can’t wait to see what else
@GlassProtocol
does with this
okay so im still shiet at vlogging BUT
this is a test of a new NFT primitive we've been working on called hyperlink
- link NFTs together
- remixing & sampling
- monetary utility
Does anyone know any tricks / have any good resources for minimizing query times on
@DuneAnalytics
(or just for PostgresSQL in general)? The cte -> nested query is not enough :(
@john_c_palmer
Directionals (plural of directional but not a real word) essentially what governance does is choose “paths” or “directions” for whatever it governs.. “this dao participates in on-chain directionals” sounds kinda cooler (tho could be shortened maybe)
with all the new infra it’s more important than ever to understand standards. A few more to add to this list:
Smart accounts (AA) - erc 4337
Nft ownership of other tokens - erc 6551
(And not knew but critical to understand)
Multi-token standard - erc 1155
Once you understand how the data flows, you need to build a strong mental framework for abstracting protocols into easy to remember bits.
All patterns you see have developed over time, with many becoming EIP/ERC standards. Protocols like
@opensea
develop their own SIPs as well.

Awesome article :) I’d love to see a massive network drawing w bridges as directed edges & chains as nodes (w L2s included) does that exist somewhere?
@SabrinaHalper
Yes but there’s also various forms of content consumption that come with different contexts. Hyper personalization will never be the only outcome because of your second point, but it may be appealing when reframing why an individual is consuming certain content.
It’s been now a little over 1 day since
@BuildOnBase
publicly announced their L2 testnet & there is already more than 25,000 goerli eth bridged from ~65k distinct addresses :o
Ethereum Address Stats in Past Year
-Monthly active addresses ranges from ~4.5M - 7M on Ethereum.
-In the past year, more than 26.69 million wallets were created, averaging around 2 million new wallets per month.
-The retention rate of new wallets is relatively modest, with
If you work with onchain data, you probably rely on the events emitted by smart contracts.
GhostLogs lets you ‘rewrite’ deployed contracts to emit new events. You can read from local context, private variables, or call other contracts.
All within the contract you’re analyzing

for multi-block calls the syntax is one of
`ctc calls <addr> <function> --blocks ...`
or
`ctc calls <addr> <function> --times ...`
numerical output will be formatted in a table and a chart

Honestly, I’m impressed. It’s methodical, not jumping to conclusions, and admitting importance to handle legislation with care. Obviously not definitive for what regulation will be, but a wildly optimistic start.
Alright, I did it so you don't have to.

My entire dream last night was a heated discussion on how every wordcel needs a rotator best friend but if someone’s both they either have a million friends or 0.
dropping my post on the wordcel v rotator history. there's a lotta newcomers so i want to give them context (and also stake my claim). for the love of god don't take this too seriously, and the document is a work in progress
After months of working in shadows we are happy to announce the 🚀 Ethereum Data Warehouse (EDW) 🚀
It is a full queryable history of the Ethereum blockchain with everything that you can get from a full node and much, much more 👀
Pretty huge. 6 / 11 of these are EVM compatible and of those, 4 are in the top growth spots for total addresses. Not much competition for Polygon when it comes to #’s & growth though.
I feel like people aren’t talking about the novelty of
@ratedw3b
& the importance of a standardized reputation for machines. Currently they’re focused on staking infra, but imagine if they create standards for relayers, sequencers, etc. Huge.
