I can summarize what's happening. 1) Most AI tokens probably use OpenAI's GPT under the hood to analyze crypto data and make it understandable and engaging. (GPT is the programmer's version of ChatGPT.) Some projects that make it will reinvest their profits to start doing more sophisticated analyses and actions. Something interesting and enduring will emerge from the current experiments. 2) Many projects are building decentralized infrastructure to support agents, which means running rule-based bots, simpler machine learning algorithms, specialized models, or LLMs that can make transactions. 3) I expect to see a lot of interaction between 1 and 2. For example, AI token projects will migrate from OpenAI to decentralized versions. The challenge with this migration is that OpenAI's GPT is way smarter than generic open-source LLMs, and intelligence is critical for financial applications. Fine-tuning open-source LLMs to specialize in finance will probably work well here.
