High concentration of locked in devs. Many didn't even go after bounties. That felt secondary to hanging out with each other, prototyping cool things, and sharing ideas. Also, wow, @coinbase has a beautiful office. Thanks for hosting!

Had a great time hacking with the @liquidstar_io team at the @base ai hackathon this weekend. Liquidstar deploys edge node data centers in emerging markets. Our project was a pilot for people without smartphones to create wallets, earn/send crypto for maintaining data centers, and be paid to train models to detect when site maintenance is needed. We prototyped in tg. Liquidstar will deploy an SMS version next
At #CoinbaseAIHackathon, we built a text-powered crypto wallet for emerging markets! 📲 No smartphone? No problem. Users text a Telegram agent for KYC and have a base wallet generated, then earn ETH awards & NFTs on Base—by acing solar panel quizzes, tagging panel conditions, and even cleaning panels via AI dispatch y comparing expected solar production vs actual and using a multimodal model combined with user tagging to determine whether a panel is dirty or clean. #FinTech #CleanEnergy All using real data and images from our Waypoints in the field.
