I think there is more that can be said with how Flynn wants to use the characters than just developing them.
He wants to have Sonic be essentially an on call superhero to an organization rather than depicting him as a free spirited adventurer that gets into danger
There's been a lot of debate about why Classic Sonic is written much more, "like Sonic," in IDW, than Modern Sonic is. And I think something people aren't considering but is obvious is that Ian Flynn is clearly trying to make Modern Sonic feel older and more mature than Classic

Forces did more damage to the Sonic franchise than Sonic 06.
At least Sonic 06 was swept under the rug, Forces left its stench all over the franchise.

This is pretty clear to see, but the problem is this makes for a divisive character and Lanolin simply is not bringing anything worthwhile to justify her being so divisive.
This is why those that despise her REALLY despise her.
I think the thing that people tend to get wrong about Lanolin is that she really isn’t “friends” with any of the cast. And I don’t think she’s trying much in that aspect either.

Sonic Colors sold 2.18 million in less than a year.
Sonic Generations sold 1.6 million in its first year and has 800,000 sales on Steam.

If the IDW comics are going to be canon and clearly not interfere with the games there should be even greater effort to make them in line with the games.
Trying to give the IDW comics their own identity just highlights the limitations the restrictions from SEGA bring.

I would not rule out someone being better than official staff members just because they are a fan.

Rather than getting a story about cool races we get this lame investigation story where we will likely have the answers part way through.
IDW should stop doing mysteries it is horrible at it.

Pressure basically means that you should push these companies into distancing their support for Palestine since they are hard to boycott.
