Those on the stream will have heard how the Great Donny Milwuakee shaped me as a young MC He also learned me that EQ starts with your face and body, like, a voice has built in EQ one can access its kinda nuts
Totally felt. That’s been a sticking point for me too. This project has kinda freed me of the “always have to have the same voice” thing & it’s honestly made it way more fun to approach instrumentals That thing u said about how you’ll pretty naturally get in the right key just by hearing it helped me just go with what I’m feelin

@samsraps It took a while for me to …. Find my voice So many of my syllables felt “squinched” and just so un beautiful. Leaning into what i liked hearing helped a lot There is an over emphasis on having a “natural” rapping voice - but i dont have one way of talking yfm?? Thabks btw
