Growing up in a relatively small island of #Trinidad🇹🇹 gave me vertical connections to all walks of life. Last week on our Friday Founders meetup, I likened that to founding in #Vancouver🌊🏔️ where the population is so small you can also connect to its entire #startup ecosystem.

@JohnDoritosKane I hiked Pico Almanzor in Spain decked out in ultralight gear and tiny backpack and the local Madrileños doing the same double mountain hiked in three glass bottles of Rioja and decided a mid hike wine break was necessary before they completed the last mountain to the parking lot.

Someone pls buy me three maxed out M2 Max
DeepSeek R1 (the 680B MOE) is ~20% faster in the latest mlx / mlx-lm. 4-bit model on 3 M2 Ultras generates 4k tokens at a respectable 15 toks/sec. Plus some QoL improvements: - Only downloads the local shard (much faster startup) - Distributed launcher ships with MLX

@ericerway @MeetMagentoFL Hope it went well. Slapping together a talk in a couple hours isn’t easy.

Someone needs to teach this guy how LLMs work. 😂 Jokes aside, this is a good opportunity to set some definitions. The entire soup of made up nebulous terms gets me confused sometimes. Thoughts @MarcoFigueroa @elder_plinius
I have a confession to make. I still have no idea what “jailbreaking a LLM” actually means, or if it’s anything real The whole term sounds very bullshity to me

I was going to recommend @BambulabGlobal printers for Christmas gifts to someone asking last month. I'm kinda glad I didn't. FTR if I have ever recommended a #Bambulab printer in the past to you, I rescind that recommendation until they stop going down this anti consumer path.
